The service
Nodexa produces market reports for practice-location decisions: who competes inside a drive-time boundary, who lives there, what the payer landscape looks like, and how the market compares against published benchmarks. The Service is operated by Nodexa, with engineering by BearPlex.
These terms cover the website and the platform together. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business, and "you" means both.
Your account
- Your email address is your account. Sign-in is a one-time email link. There are no passwords.
- You are responsible for your inbox. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep that mailbox secure.
- One person per account. Do not share sign-in links or hand your account around a group.
- 18 and over, business purposes. The Service is for professionals making commercial decisions, not for consumers or children.
Free tier and fair use
The free tier includes 3 explorations per day, no card required. Failed searches never count against that quota. Platform-wide capacity limits may apply on heavy days; the daily limit resets on schedule regardless.
Fair use means a person running reports, not a machine harvesting them. The following are off limits:
- No scripting or scraping. Do not automate report generation, crawl the platform, or bulk-extract data from it.
- No reselling access. Your account is yours, not a product you offer to others.
- No probing the engine. Do not reverse engineer, benchmark for a competing product, or attempt to reconstruct our data pipeline or scoring internals beyond what we publish in the methodology.
Deep Reports and payment
- Price. A Deep Report is $475, one time, per market. The price shown at the moment of purchase is the price that governs.
- Processing. Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers.
- Credits never expire. Buy now, run the market when you are ready.
- One credit, one market, permanently. A credit unlocks one report for your account for good. Come back to it in a year; it is still yours.
The fix-or-refund promise
If a Deep Report is materially wrong, say a competitor count that fails an audit against the underlying sources, we re-run the market or refund that report. Your choice does not enter into it being made right; it will be, one way or the other.
Tell us within 30 days through the contact form. Every report is reproducible: the sources, the boundary, and the counts can be re-derived on demand. That means claims get audited, not argued. If the audit shows the report was wrong, you get the fix or the refund. If it shows the report was right, we send you the receipts.
Reports are decision support, not professional advice
This is the section to read twice. A Nodexa report is an instrument for thinking about a market. It is not financial advice, legal advice, investment advice, or real-estate advice, and it is not a guarantee that a practice will succeed in any location, whatever the comparisons show.
Estimates are labeled as estimates, and they mean it:
- Modeled fee bands are ranges, never quotes. We hold 1,148 verified Medicaid fee rows across 51 state schedules; where a state publishes nothing (Idaho publishes none), the bands are modeled and marked as such. No band is a promise of reimbursement.
- Third-party sources can be wrong or stale. The federal provider registry, live business listings, census data, and state fee schedules are verified at search time, but we do not control them, and errors survive verification.
- The comparisons are arithmetic, not a promise. Density against the specialty benchmark and income against the state median, method published in the methodology. It is a consistent lens, not a forecast of your revenue.
Before you sign a lease, buy a practice, or borrow money, verify independently: talk to a lender, a lawyer, an accountant, and people who practice in the market. Use the report to ask them better questions.
Report content and license
Your reports are licensed to you for your internal business use. You may share a report with your own advisors, partners, and lenders; that is what it is for.
- No resale. Do not sell reports or access to them.
- No republishing. Do not post report content publicly or distribute it beyond your advisory circle.
- No competing service. Do not offer Nodexa output, repackaged or otherwise, as your own product.
- No stripping at scale. Extracting the underlying data across reports to build a dataset is not internal business use.
Map content in reports is provided through Google Maps Platform and carries Google's own terms in addition to these.
Acceptable use
Four rules, none surprising: do not use the Service for anything unlawful; do not abuse rate limits or attempt to evade quotas; do not interfere with the Service or with other users' access to it; do not misrepresent who you are or who you act for.
Availability
The Service is provided "as is." We aim for reliability, and reports typically complete in 60 to 90 seconds, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, improve, or be retired as the platform evolves.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. If we terminate your account without cause, we refund the value of any unused paid credits.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service is capped at the greater of $500 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or decisions made in reliance on a report.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnity
If your misuse of the Service, meaning use that breaks these terms or the law, results in a claim against us, you cover it. That is the whole clause. Use the Service as intended and this section never applies to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes belong to the state and federal courts sitting in New York County. Before anyone files anything, try us first: a message through the contact form resolves most problems in a fraction of the time.
Changes and contact
When these terms change, the version number and effective date at the top change with them. Material changes get an in-product notice or an email before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
Questions about these terms go through the contact form. They land with the people who run the platform.
